Swoboda Presents Report on Croatia’s EU Bid Progess

Zagreb, January 29 (CP) — The EP rapporteur on Croatia Hannes Swoboda has presented to the members of the EP foreign policy committee in Brussels a fresh report on Croatia’s progress. He stated that key reforms has still not been implemented.
A discussion on the Protected Ecology and Fishery Zone in the Adriatic followed. Swoboda expressed regret over the Zone being introduced. However, 2009 remains as Croatia’s EU accession date. Swoboda expressed satisfaction with the fact that most of Croatia’s legislature was adjusted to EU standards, but stressed administrative capacities should be developed.
