Woman Gives Birth in Helicopter on the Way to Hospital

Zagreb, February 1 (CP) – A woman pregnant seven months gave birth in the helicopter that came to pick her up at the island of Hvar in a bid to get her to a Split hospital.
The woman was first taken from the island of Vis to the island of Hvar by ambulance, only to be picked up by a helicopter in Hvar in order to get to Split as soon as possible.
However, the woman had given birth to a healthy baby girl in mid-air.
Both the baby and the mother are said to be doing well.
