February 2nd, 2008
Zagreb, February 2 (CP) –- The Croatian Agrokor concern is to build two produce purchase centres in Macedonia, the produce then being sold in the region and in Europe.
The effort will secure an increase in the production of vegetables in hothouses.
The first of the two centres, the one in Strumica meant for vegetables, is to be completed in May 2008 and it should be fully operational by the start of 2009.
Agrokor is planning to buy 100,000 tonnes of produce annually five years after the operation begins.
