Two Croatian Skiers on the Podium in Val D’Isere
February 3rd, 2008
Zagreb, February 3 (CP) — Ivica Kostelic came in second and Natko Zrncic-Dim had made a breakthrough coming in third in the Men’s Super-combined race in Val D’Isere.
In the downhill race Kostelic trailed behind Bode Miller by 2.26 seconds taking up 12 position, but he came in first in the slalom race.
The other Croatian competitor, Natko Zrncic-Dim had been in 8th position after the downhill race and had done well in the slalom as well, ending the combined race in third place and his first podium appearance.
Bode Miller, however, is the overall winner of the race, but despite not winning, two Croatian competitors taking the podium is a great victory for Croatian skiing.
