Government Issues Non-paper on ZERP Forwarding it to EU Members
February 4th, 2008
Zagreb, February 4 (CP) – The government has issued a non-paper on the Protected Ecology and Fisheries Belt (ZERP) in the Adriatic forwarding it to all EU members.
In this unofficial document it explains its stance on the controversial implementation of ZERP in the Adriatic, reports Jutarnji List daily, quoting diplomatic sources that confirmed the existence of the document.
Allegedly, the document contains Croatia’s basic arguments for implementing the Belt and does not suggest ways to resolve the conflict over ZERP, nor does it stress that ZERP is not implemented against EU members.
