Government Issues 13.6 Bln Kuna Guarantees during 2007

Zagreb, February 4 (CP) – The government has issued a total of 13.6 billion kuna in guarantees during 2007, of which 8.3 billion was earmarked for the transport sector and 5.7 billion for the economy sector, mostly for shipyards, which received guarantees in the amount surpassing 4.6 billion kuna.
According to a report of the Finance Ministry on the issuing of financial guarantees for 2007, published in the Narodne Novine gazette, of the overall amount of guarantees issued during 2007, some 4.46 billion kuna had to do with domestic obligations and 9.13 billion were foreign ones.
