Sanader Indirectly Blames Slovenia of Unofficially Blocking EU Negotiations
February 4th, 2008
Zagreb, February 4 (CP) – Speaking at the session of the Croatian Democratic Union’s (HDZ) presidency party leader and PM Ivo Sanader indirectly accused Slovenia of blocking accession negotiations of Croatia and the EU.
He said that there had been no official blockade of the talks, but rather unofficial ones spearheaded by a certain EU member, particularly in the fisheries chapter.
It was clear that Sanader was speaking of Slovenia.
The PM denied he was planning to sack Justice Minister Ana Lovrin, following such speculations in the media.
