Croatian High Jumper Blanka Vlasic Wins Slovakia Meet and Sets New Season Record

Zagreb, February 6 (CP) – Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlasic has continued her winning steak with clearing 204 centimetres at the Banska Bystrica athletic meet in Slovakia on Wednesday, setting her personal season record.
She left behind her greatest rival Russian Yekaterina Savchenko, who managed only 197 centimetres.
This is the third win for Vlasic in as many meets this season and she is to appear next at the IAAF meet in Karlsruhe on Sunday and three days later at the athletic meet held in her hometown of Split.
