Croatia Loses to Netherlands 0-3 in Soccer Friendly
February 7th, 2008
Zagreb, February 7 (CP) – The Croatian soccer squad lost to the Dutch 0-3 in a disappointing match at the Poljud stadium in the coastal town of Split on Wednesday evening.
This was Croatia’s first game since beating England 3-2 at Wembley in November.
The two have met before in the third-place playoff at the World Cup in France in 1998, when Croatia won 2-1.
Although Croatia upped its game in the second half, it only managed to really take off some 20 minutes before the end of the game, which was way to late for a turnaround.
