Zagreb Commended for Refugee Efforts
February 7th, 2008
Zagreb, February 7 (CP) — The EP member and Croatia rapporteur Hannes Swoboda has said speaking in Zagreb that not a single country that had gone through a war had not done so much for the refugees and for cooperation with the ICTY as Croatia did.
He added that there still remained certain issues that needed to be resolved like the housing of returnees and the protection of witnesses, which would mean that Croatia had fulfilled all the conditions set.
Parliament speaker Luka Bebic told reporters that the EP delegation had handed out some welcome advice which the parliament is ready to adopt adding that the talks focused on ending this particular stage of negotiations with the help of EP representatives.
