Croatian Skier Ivica Kostelic Third in Garmisch Partenkirchen Slalom

Zagreb, February 10 (CP) – Croatian skier Ivica Kostelic captured the third place in the German Garmisch Partenkirchen slalom.
Kostelic was fourth in the first run, improving his standing by one place in the second run and ending up third.
This was the first time this season that Kostelic made it onto the slalom podium.
The winner was Austria’s Reinfried Herbst, who led the first run, while Manfred Moelgg of Italy came in second.
In the World Cup slalom standings Kostelic is now in 8th position and holds the same position in the overal World Cup standings.
