Package Tours in Croatia To Remain at last Year’s Prices
February 28th, 2008
Zagreb, February 28 (CP) – The Association of Croatian Travel Agencies has announced that the prices of package tours to Croatia will remain at last year’s levels with a small number of hotels increasing prices by about five percent.
It was stated that by scrapping tourism subsidies and slapping on a 10 percent VAT for accommodation services and 22 percent for excursions in 2006, Croatia had lost about 36,000 organised overnight stays in 2007 and the growth of that segment had stalled.
It was also stated that the Kosovo situation is not expected to impact Croatia’s tourism.
