Zadar Teenager and his Mother Found Guilty of Dealing Drugs
Zagreb, February 29 (CP) – A coastal town of Zadar teenager and his 42-year-old drug addict mother have been found guilty of pushing drugs on Thursday.
The unlikely pair have been sentenced by the Zadar county court. The mother has been sentenced to five years in prison, while the son who is 19 years old will be kept in a reform school for up to three years.
Apart from pushing drugs and illegal drugs being found in their homes during police raids, the two have also used the teenager’s four-year-old sister as a cover for pushing drugs by allegedly driving her around in the car so she can get to sleep.
The mother and son were arrested in August 2007 while they were riding in their car. Some 8.35 grams of heroin were found in the car and more drugs were found in the raid of the mothers flat.
The teenager is a repeat offender as on several occasions police found marijuana on him in quantities, which were obviously for sale.
