HRT Claiming that US President Bush Will Be Visiting Zagreb at the Start of April

Zagreb, February 29 (CP) – US president G.W. Bush is to pay an official visit to Croatia in April, claims Croatian Radio Television (HRT).
Bush is to arrive in Croatia prior to the NATO Bucharest summit during which Croatia should be officially invited to join the Alliance.
The government has recently decided that NATO membership will not be put to a referendum, as more than 50 percent of citizen supported it.
After Kosovo’s independence declaration the support for NATO membership has risen in Croatia to as much as 67 percent, according to the Puls agency survey published today.
The Bucharest summit is to be held between April 2 and 4, 2008 with other NATO hopefuls apart from Croatia being Albania and Macedonia.
