Drunken Driver Bites Policemen in Zagreb

Zagreb, March 1 (CP) – A motorist stopped by police in the early hours of Saturday in Zagreb bit a policemen who was running after him, after he tried to flee.

The incident happened in Zagreb’s Heinzelova street at night, when two policemen stopped a driver of a Renault vehicle and once they felt alcohol on his breath, they offered him a breathalyser, which he rejected by running away.

The two policemen caught up with him quickly, but in the course of this, the drunk driver bit one of the two policemen.

The driver was arrested, while the injuries the policemen suffered are not said to be grave.
