Rijeka Doctors Successfully Re-attach Severed Fist
March 4th, 2008
Zagreb, March 4 (CP) — A Rijeka worker Aleksandar Damis has had his fist severed by a machine and it has been put back into place by surgeons at the Rijeka Susak hospital during a 9-hour operation on Tuesday.
The worker had alerted some vendors in a shop as soon as the accident happened and he was quickly ferried to hospital by an ambulance that arrived quickly.
There is a high probability of him regaining the full use of his fist after post-operative therapy.
