EU Expansion Commissioner Olli Rehn Arrives in Zagreb

Zagreb, March 5 (CP) — The EU Expansion Commissioner Olli Rehn has arrived in Zagreb where he will meet with senior Croatian officials and discuss with them Croatia’s progress in getting closer to EU membership.
His visit has to do with the adoption of the European Commission’s communication action plan for West Balkans.
The goal of the plan is to accelerate the progress of the countries in the region towards EU membership. Speaking about the document in Brussels on Wednesday morning, Rehn said 2008 could be a key year in Croatia’s EU accession.
