Croatian Ret. Gen. Ivan Cermak Arrives in The Hague

Zagreb, March 6 (CP) — Ret. Gen. Ivan Cermak indicted for war crimes by the ICTY has arrived in The Hague for the start of the Gotovina, Cermak and Markac trial scheduled for March 11. The last pre-trial hearing is to be held on Monday, March 10.
The three Croatian generals Ante Gotovina, Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac have been indicted for war crimes committed during operation Storm.
Gotovina and Markac have been in detention at the ICTY awaiting trial. Markac has been on temporary release until Dec. 30, 2007, as he had breached the conditions of his temporary release and house arrest by going hunting.
