Croatian Islamic Community Holds 3rd Convention

Zagreb, March 24 (CP) – The Islamic community in Croatia held is 3rd convention on Saturday at the Zagreb Islamic centre.
Those gathered discussed a report on the work of the Community during 2007 submitted by the Islamic leader in Croatia Sevko Omerbasic. The relations with the state bodies have been described as good and in line with an agreement signed with the government.
The negative demographic trend was emphasized, as well as a lack of grave land plots, a problem which needs to be urgently solved.
The financial report for 2007 and plans for 2008 were adopted.
