Car Thief Tries To Run over Policeman and Breaks Leg Trying To Flee
March 25th, 2008
Zagreb, March 25 (CP) – A car thief from the town of Karlovac was arrested not far from Rijeka suspected of stealing five cars, but his arrest did not go smoothly.
After being cornered near the Novi Vinodolski resort by the Rijeka police, the 39-year-old suspect attempted to run over a policeman and then fled to the woods where he was hiding throughout the night.
However, during the run he suffered a broken leg, so due to insufferable pain he phoned some friends to come to his rescue, the whole group then falling into a police trap.
A change of career seems like a good option.
