Osijek Leadership Elected after a Seven-month Vacuum

Following seven months of political squabbles the Osijek authorities’ crisis has finally ended with Croatian Pary of Rights (HSP), The Social Democratic Party (SDP), The Croatian Peoples’ Party( HNS) and the Pensioners’ Party( HSU) coming to the helm of the city.
The councillors of the said parties have 14 out of the 25 seats in the city council, securing the necessary majority to form the new city authorities.
Gordan Matkovic of HSP is to become the new Osijek mayor, while HSP leader Anto Djapic is to become the city council president.
