IKEA Executive Director Announces Expansion into New Markets Including Croatia

Zagreb, April 10 (CP) – The executive director of the Swedish IKEA company Anders Dahlvig has told the British Times that IKEA was planning expnding to Croatia, Slovenia and the Ukraine in the coming years.
He said that the plans have been prompted by the slump in the US and British property markets, as well as those in Spain, Italy and Germany and more are expected to be affected.
There have been rumors of IKEA coming to Croatia back in 1992, when the company bought a land plot outside Croatia’s capital Zagreb, but the latest information says Split may be the location of IKEA’s interest.
