Another Three Families of Fire fighters Who Died at Kornat Wins Damages

Zagreb, April 11 (CP) – Another three families of fire fighters who lost their lives in the Kornati tragedy on August 30, 2007 have been awarded damages by the court to be paid by the local authorities.
The families of Marinko Knezevic, Ivan Marinovic and Dino Klaric are to receive some 2.3 million kuna that has to be paid out by the town of Sibenik and the Sibenik Public Fire Fighting Brigade.
On Wednesday, the families of five other families of deceased fire fighters had also been awarded damages and together with the latest ruling by the Sibenik the eight families have won in total 5.7 million kuna in damages.
The government has recently confirmed it would take part in paying out damages.
