Britain To Extradite Fugitive Milan Spanovic to Croatia

Zagreb, May 31 (CP) –  Milan Spanovic, a Croatian Serb sentenced in Croatia for war crimes committed in the Glina area during the Homeland war is to be extradited to Croatia by the U.K., ruled a London court on Friday.

Spanovic, who fled Croatia and lived in the U.K. since 1998 working as a locksmith had been sentenced in Croatia in absentia to 20 years in prison.

Spanovic’s defence team is to appeal the ruling.
