Croatian Business Tycoon Zeljko Kerum To Purchase Zagreb’s Legendary Regent Esplanade Hotel

Zagreb, June 23 (CP) – Split businessman Zeljko Kerum who has recently been criticised by PM Ivo Sanader for buying expensive yahts and cars, while his workers are suffering due to low wages is to purchase the Regent Esplanade Hotel, one of Zagreb’s oldest and most beautiful hotels from the current Austrian owners.
According to a Zagreb daily, talks have been continuing over the past few months on the trasaction which experts say is worth more than €60 million.
Kerum has opened several basic food stuffs’ shops across the Croatian capital after starting the business in his native Split and has bought a number of landmark cafes in the capital, as well as a large building site in the very heart of the city.
