Jouyet: Croatia Has Made a Lot of Progress
June 25th, 2008
Zagreb, June 25 (CP) — The French European Affairs Secretary Jean-Pierre Jouyet has said speaking at a conference on Balkans’ progress that Croatia had made a lot of progress in its accession negotiations and the aim of the French EU presidency will be the opening and closing of nearly all of the negotiation chapters.
Jouyet said this during a conference on the Balkans’ situation. His words represent the strongest confirmation so far that the negative outcome of the Lisbon Treaty referendum in Ireland would not impact Croatia’s accession.
